Taoglas has introduced two new ranges of antennas designed to meet the growing demands of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The Colosseum and Sentinel antenna ranges offer ultra-compact and durable solutions, ideal for applications such as tracking, remote monitoring, high-definition video streaming, and other advanced IoT needs.
These new antenna lines include:
- Colosseum MA850: 5-in-1 permanent mount with LTE MIMO2, Wi-Fi MIMO2, and GNSS, featuring an SMA(M) connector.
- Sentinel MA250: 3-in-1 antenna supporting LTE MIMO and GNSS.
- Sentinel MA251: Adhesive mount antenna with 2x LTE MIMO.
- Sentinel MA252: Adhesive mount 2-in-1 antenna supporting GNSS and LTE.
The Colosseum MA850 is a low-profile antenna, 40% smaller than Taoglas’ Pantheon range, while still delivering almost the same high performance. As the smallest high-performance antenna of its kind on the market, it offers a permanent mount solution. It also allows customization of cables and connectors for various applications.
The Sentinel MA25X series represents a more compact version of the MA240 series, setting a new industry standard for best performance in a low-profile form factor. Additionally, the MA25X antennas cover more frequency bands than some previous models, enhancing their compatibility and performance.
Dermot O’Shea, co-founder and Co-CEO of Taoglas, emphasizes the importance of size, cost, and long-term reliability for utilities. He explains, “In the utility space, size, and cost matter, but so does reliability and longevity. While many utility applications don’t require high data throughput, they demand LTE capabilities for long-term reliability. Once a device is mounted, utilities want a solution they can set and forget, without worrying about reliability issues or the discontinuation of cellular standards. These new antennas address these concerns with robust designs and a range of connectivity options.”
